I was recently reading your electronic tract "The Dragon's Hot Breath" by Texe Marrs. While reading I came across a clear factual error and I hope that you will either correct this error or remove the tract.
In his essay Texe says"For example, Scripture tells us that Satan, who inspired Cain to slay Abel, also inspired his descendent, Jubal, to invent musical compositions and instruments: 'And his brother's name was Jubal; he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.' (Genesis 4:21)."
However, while Cain is the ancestor of Jubal, the Bible says nothing about the inspiration for musical instruments. It certainly doesn't claim that Satan inspired them.I would also question how this scripture applies to the topic of rock music. IF Satan inspired musical instruments, then all musical instruments are evil and should be avoided, not just Christian rock music.
The Bible warns us against "handling the word of God deceitfully" (II Cor. 4:2). I would recommend you make some changes concerning this pamphlet. If you read this, I would like a response. So much as an "I read your e-mail" would be appreciated.
Shawn,I would agree with you the Bible does NOT say this. We [Dial-the-Truth Ministries] did not write the article by Texe Marrs we are simply placing it on our site. We feel the article is worthy of distribution, even though we don't agree with everything in it. We recommend many works, etc that we do not agree with everything.
Legally we can not change the content of Texe's article [or any other such work] that would be a copyright violation and also unethical.Blessed Assurance, Jesus is Mine! Dial-the-Truth Ministries www.av1611.org
